Fetid Goosefoot

As it turns out, this is not fireweed, but is called Fetid Goosefoot, the more “interesting” name provided by the local ranger station here in Alpine, Arizona. Despite its feathery appearance, it feels almost like wispy plastic when touched. These are the colors that show up as the plants are dying.
