This picture is from 2001, when we went to Florida to pick up our beloved Mountain Aire motorhome to officially start our fulltime lifestyle. Repeat – this is Florida – there is a lot of moisture there, and the ground was covered at times with all manner of interesting mushrooms of brilliant colors. Unfortunately, this is NOT one of the brightly-colored ones, but it did have an interesting passenger.
I watched the progress/disintegration of this mushroom, and the abandonment by the passenger, as it melted into the ground. I took pictures of it every day, but they aren’t nearly as interesting as this one.
