Patagonia Trees

Patagonia trees to blog

I don’t know what kind of trees these are, but I liked the looks of them. I took this picture on a quite momentous occasion. It was the first time my husband had been able to drive our car after his transplant. We stopped about two thirds of the way home and switched drivers. This was a side road along the way. He took something of a walk down the road, and then came back and drove the rest of the way home. He had not driven for about a year. I was more than happy to relinquish the wheel!

My first guess would be cottonwood trees, but the leaves look a little strange when I zoom in (I’m on a small screen). Maybe some other kind of poplar?

Thanks for commenting on here, Tommy. It is a thrill to see “Denmark” come up on my map because I know it is you! ;->

This road is only about 20 or 25 miles from our house. It is the “scenic route” to Tucson, via Highway 83. Looking out the window right now (9:15 in the morning), I am seeing little snow flurries. The flakes melt before they hit the ground, as the temperature is right at 40 degrees F.

Greetings, Lars – How great to see you here. ;-> I looked up the acacia tree on Wikipedia, and, although the appearance is similar, I just don’t really know if it is or isn’t. Some of the pictures are very much like them. I shall need to continue to research this question. Thank you for the clue!
