The Mountains Are Particularly Pretty Today

Mts. particularly pretty

The sunlight this morning had me running back into the house to grab my camera. Would that I could show you all of the beauty that greeted us this morning, but just this shot of the Desert Bird of Paradise, the birdhouse, and the fabulous Huachuca Mountains will have to do! Trust me . . . you would have loved it, too. It just made my heart sing to drink this all in!!!

Thank you, Beth! Yes – we just revel in the glory of the view – particularly at this time of year when everything is so green from the monsoon rains. It has been several hours since I took that picture this morning, and now those mountains are partially covered in rain, and it’s moving left to right, changing the light and shading on the mountains as it goes. We can hear the thunder rumbling around up there. “The Huachucas” – the name of the mountains – means “Thunder Mountains” in Apache. They believed that this is where all weather originated.

The rain is sweeping across there now, and the yucca stalk is lit up all golden. The rose tree in the front is calling me ‘n’ my camera. Whooosh! Off I go!

Who wouldn’t love all that beauty and nature surrounding you? I would love it too! I must take a walk in the woods today, maybe I can simulate your happy feelings that way. Have a lovely day!

Walks in the woods are wonderful. Take your camera. There is bound to be something that will catch your eye that you will want to remember. Look for colorful mushrooms that have popped up from all your recent rain. Breathe deeply and stretch your arms wide to inflate your lungs to the fullest. The trees have been busy providing you with oxygen. Give them some of your exhales in return. ;->
