KEEP OUT !!!

You may remember this cute little fellow . . .

fox on rug.blog.

Every now and then we think he may have returned when we didn’t see him, to leave a warning to make sure no other animal was encroaching on his territory. We don’t put out water or feed for him, but maybe he just feels safe there. The rug where he chose to mark is on the deck right in front of French doors that go into the dining room, so maybe he thought it was dinner time. He has done this twice when we haven’t seen him around, so we wonder if it is during the night time. I will have to remember to look out there first thing in the morning from now on.

This is his very best “vulpini innocente” face. Moi?

Just gotta love that little guy! I’d sneak out with a tiny flashlight in the middle of the night to see if he is there. And my camera, of course!

I just read your last blog post, too, and found your recap very interesting. I wish Blogger did that. I’d like to know some of that info for my blog. Thanks for posting it. 🙂

The afternoon he spent on the deck is the only time we have actually seen him. He posed nicely for about two dozen photos, alternating with major snoozing. He seemed perfectly at home, even though I was doing noisy stuff in the kitchen right above where he was sacked out. I thought he might come back, and I guess that he has – we just never get to see his cute little button nose.

    What a cute face!

He’s definitely stolen our hearts! There is water in the pond out in the alley for passing animals, so maybe he comes here for that. Several years ago – before we lived here – a fox made a nest in a sofa that was on the deck during the summer when the owners were away. One of the neighbors took some pictures. Of course we wonder if this is the same fox, or maybe a progeny of that one.

The close up or last pix is really cute of him. What have you named him?

  4. What a sweet little face, and he curls up so nicely in the char,

Glad to see you here, Martha. Are you back home yet? Please take extra good care of yourself. Doesn’t his countenance look like he is forming words in his head? But they just don’t come out so that we can understand him.

What a sweetheart! And he seemed to like his photo taken. Somehow I think there is a little ego in all of creation! Wonderful post! 🙂

Oh, how cute is he!! You gotta keep him, Judilyn!

Keep him? HA! How are we going to keep him out? He must feel at home. I would think he would actually feel fairly secure up on our deck. And the rug provides protection from the cold at night, so maybe he spends part of every night there, and just leaves us the “present” as he leaves.

How special that he has adopted you!

  8. Maybe he was a house dog in former life… 😀

    Just adorable!
