The Owl Diner

wc owl in pine tree.blog

For those of you who read the “Animals Spotted” page (above), you will have already seen this picture of our newest resident.

I’m trying to add to the Animals Spotted page every day, so if you are interested in animals, take a look. It appears that I can put pictures there, too, but there is probably some sort of limit, so most pictures will still be here on the main blog.

There is a huge backlog of food pictures to post because we’ve had so much really great food lately. I’ll leave the owl up for a while, but this afternoon I’ll likely put up a picture of our delicious curried beef dinner last night.

I love pictures of owls (haven’t seen a whole lot of them in person in the wild), so thanks for posting this photo.

It is really a treat to have this bunch of them here in the park. They usually live up in the huge pine trees about a block away, but this guy apparently is quite the opportunist! ;->

I am looking forward to the picture of your delicious curried beef. Don’t I love curried food, including beef? I can’t remember when I last saw an owl. You’re so lucky to have an opportunity to view all those animals. Do you have a zoom lens? It seems high up on the tree. I wish you a happy Saturday!

Curry is fun once in a while. I don’t curry the beef, just the rice.

It is too much for me very often, but I enjoy it in small bursts. We had some of the leftover curried rice last night with a bok choy stir fry, and that was quite a good combination. The somewhat blandness of the veggies was just right with the more “in-your-face-ness” of the curry. I might add that I don’t make the curry nearly so strong as it probably should be – Yes, I am a wuss! ;->
