Not sure why this batch was soooo delicious, but we both thoroughly enjoyed today’s brunch pancakes with blueberries and pecans. Not shown are the usual poached eggs, with grilled ham and pineapple.

I’ve been thinking about blueberry pancakes lately. I have pecans so I might as well throw some of them in the mix.

As you can see from the picture, I always put the add-in items on the wet side after I put them in the pan. I’ve tried it both ways – mixing in, and like this – and always go back to sprinkling them on top.

They look very delicious. I was just thinking of making blueberry pikelets tomorrow morning. I’ve never tried them with nuts so I will try and throw in some pecans and experience what you experienced. Thanks for sharing. Is the cabbage-spaghetti served? Have a lovely evening!

No dinner served yet. We eat late, and it is not quite seven o’clock here now. We’ll eat about eight or so. Everything is in readiness, though. The spaghetti sauce is bubbling away; the cabbage is wedged and in the steamer, and the water is in the pot for the angel hair. Sunday night is the only night we watch television, so I need to get everything ready to fix and serve in about five minutes between “Last Tango in Halifax” and “Poirot”!
