Big Fig

Test post from clinic. The IV drip took longer than expected, so I am experimenting today.

The wife of another patient brought in fresh figs yesterday, and shared them with us all. I couldn’t help aiming the iPhone at my bounty, producing this lovely image.

The fig lady was so cute! She was proud to announce that the next day, she “officially would be pushing eighty”, as that is her 79th birthday. She was dressed head to toe – hat to boots – like a ranch wife from the nineteenth century, floor-length skirt, vest and all. Her single black braid of hair hung down to about her waist. What a doll!

  2. This fig looks so tasty. I bought a few today and was quite disappointed. Ended up cooking them with sugar and lemon just to give them a bit of flavor… 😦 But it’s not as good as a real fresh succulent fig.

I love figs!! Especially fresh. We meet the nicest people along the way. There are a lot of stories in those who push 80! 🙂
