Here is the third, and final, stage of our resident fig.
It was good, but didn’t have a lot of punch as far as flavor. It was a nice between-meal treat, but I don’t think I would go to a lot of trouble to get more of them.
Photographing it was a lot more satisfying! ;->
I just wonder what makes a lot of people rave about the taste of figs. There are enough fruits that I love and I wouldn’t be bothered with something I found only so-so.

I totally agree. But it was a fun experience, and I’m always up for something new like that!

Well, at least you’ve tried… 🙂
Just remember, just like there are many varieties of apples, there are also different varieties of figs. So maybe you got unlucky with a not so tasty one…

It was okay. I’d do it again.

And figs are not created equal. You must try a few of them to find out what they really taste like because you really have no idea if that was a right and perfect fig. Just my opinion.

Oh, I’m always open to try new things. I’ve just never had the opportunity to investigate figs very much. Will keep my eye out for possibles, though.

What a disappointing end to a lovely looking fig. I was eagerly waiting for the verdict. Pleasant day to you!

It gave me several days of enjoyment. The momentary taste was the least of it. I learned a lot about figs during these days, and had fun with the story and pictures.
