Gianduia and Limoncello !!!

limoncello and

Words very nearly fail me. These two flavors of gelato from Frost in Tucson had our eyes rolling back in our heads with pure joy!

I have NO IDEA how they do this, but take a look at the nutritional information at the site.

Usually we share a cup of this luscious treat, but on Tuesday we each had a cup because it was really, really hot in Tucson, and . . . well, we can be piggies! The two flavors we got were so delicious, and not as strange bedfellows as it may seem at first blush. We traded back and forth, until the limoncello was depleted and my attention was drawn away from the Gianduia (hazelnut and chocolate) and focused on the photo I had just taken of these treats. In a trice, the Gianduia disappeared, leaving just the smile on the Cheshire cat’s face! ;->

I think I would definitely want to try the Gianduia!

Oh, definitely. We loved so much that I bought a bag of filberts from Trader Joe’s completely subliminally. We didn’t even make the connection in our minds until we got home hours later and were finishing dinner!

Unfair! That picture made my mouth water. Wish I were the Cheshire cat.

Frost’s gelato is fabulous! And as Judie says, it’s almost completely guilt-free, while tasting as rich as any ice cream I’ve ever had. If this magical stuff were sold in stores, I’d never buy anything else.

One of us was so hung up on amaretto, that few new tastes were tried, but a breakthrough with the limoncello begat trying other flavors. So glad we did! It’s probably a good thing that acquiring one of these cups requires a 150-mile round trip!

I’m back in Canada and looking forward to catching up on your posts. Always a delicious treat. By the way, did you know there is vegetarian Haggis?!!!
