Spaghetti and Broccoli

spaghetti and broccoli.blog

This looks pretty simple, yah? Hot Italian sausage, organic ground beef, red peppers, onions, and jarred spaghetti sauce . . . over angel hair pasta. And what’s with the sour cream? I love sour cream on tomato-y things – kinda like adding a lasagne ambience without the extra work or calories!

Stay tuned for what this sauce gets turned into later!

That’s a great idea! I do poor man’s strogonoff, using hamburger and sour cream and rice, and spices, etc. Super fast, easy and tasty. One of my favs. This looks like poor man’s lasagna – or maybe lazy man’s lasagna. I just might put something like this together soon. I love anything with sour cream, and honestly, a whole lasagna in The Palms is too much. I’d never finish even a small one. 🙂

The little dab of sour cream is actually enough so that I’m not tempted to completely douse the dish with piles of shredded cheese. I want something to offset the tangy tomato, and just that small dab of sour cream does it for me. I still put on a bit of grated Asiago or Parmesan, but a big load of mozzarella is no longer necessary.
