The Grapes of Wrath

These lovely green grapes joined the red-purple ones in our refrigerator today, and I was just mesmerized by how lovely they look. Don’t you agree?

What exactly are grapes of wrath, anyway? I set out to find out, and the first thing I found was this cleverly-named winery.

If you have a moment, take a waltz around their site – it's worthwhile. I don't have any affiliation with this winery. I don't even drink wine, but I loved their site.

Grapes have a fairly high sugar content, so care must be taken not to gobble too many at a time, but boy were these deee-lish! I ate just enough to keep me from perishing from lack of food, but not enough to spoil my dinner! ;->

I love both, but usually buy the red. I add them to my breakfast fruit bowl, and always wash a few extra to nibble on throughout the day. Costco sells them in a box of 4#, so I eat all I like.

It must be grape season now because I can get a three-pound clamshell box of either color for $5. on Fridays at Safeway. It is really hard not to eat a whole bunch at one time. But like any fruit, discretion is the better part of valor! ;->
