The Butterfly Girl and the Chinaberry Tree

We’ll call her Mel, for short! ;-> But, watch out! She’s well armed for butterfly pursuits.

What are all those little yellow balls on the ground? Those are the Chinaberries – from the Chinaberry Tree that you see the huge trunk of. This is a spectacular tree that lives with one of our neighbors. In the summer, it has the most glorious canopy of leaves, but as Fall approaches, the leaves make a bee line for the ground. I’m guessing that the yellow berries fall off all year long, much the same as any fruit would.
