A sour cream container is slow to empty around here, so I thought that a squeeze container would be just the ticket. It keeps unwanted air and other debris from getting into the product. I thought it might have oddball additives, but the ingredients panel listed only one ingredient: cream. Perfect!

That looks like Daisy brand sour cream. That is a brand I’ve never liked. Have you seen the squeeze tubes in any other brand? I don’t use mine very fast either, so the squeeze tube makes sense to me.

I’ve always been fond of Daisy, so was happy to see it. I’ll keep my eyes open for another brand and let you know if I see any other.

The squeeze bottle of sour cream would be perfect for me. I don’t use it all that often and end up throwing at least half the container away. I buy the Daisy brand also, and I’ll look for it the next time I shop.

I was really happy to find it. The downside is that there is no spoon to lick. ;->

Daisy is my preferred sour cream as well. I’m really glad to hear about this new packaging. I’ll be looking for it. Thanks! 🙂

It’s easy to control the portion, too.

looks fantastic. We don’t have sour cream in squeeze tubes at all. But that’s a good idea. Virtual hugs, Mitza

I was tickled to find it, especially since there were no weird ingredients in the tube.

Yes, we always use things that have no weird ingredients inside. 🙂

Like Dale, I’ve never much liked Daisy brand sour cream, but their product in the squeeze tube is excellent! I’ve had one of these in my fridge for almost two months (sell date July 6), and it’s as good as the day I bought it–no weeping or other unpleasantness, unlike traditional sour cream in a plastic cup or tub.
I think the new squeeze-tube packaging is great, especially for an occasional user like me, and I hope other companies adopt it. The only reason I can think of to ever buy sour cream in a cup again would be if I were making a large batch of dip, which is something that just doesn’t come up in this RVing household.

Maybe! I shop at both Safeway and Fry’s. And Food City, too! But probably did not get it at Food City.

I ONLY buy Daisy. Seems to be the only one I see with no additives. As you said Judie, the only ingredient is cream. Unlike your house though, we use enough of it that I always have a 16 oz. container in the fridge. lol I’ve never seen the squeeze container.

I love sour cream on so many things – especially tomato-y things. This packaging makes it easy to squirt on just a small amount, and then not have all that extra on the spoon that I just have to lick off. Sometimes there happens to be just so much “extra” on the spoon! ;->

Squiggly sour cream? LOL.
