yes, that’s really nice, I love avocadoes

They are just starting to reappear lately. They have been small and hard for a few months. We have missed them.

could you grow an avocado tree in your garden? I once worked in a kibbuz in Israel and harvested avocados. Was really interesting. Lovely huge trees.

I have grown an avocado tree, but it was over 60 years ago and in Florida. Anything in our yard is subjected to animals nibbles. The deer have been out in force lately and have been tromping around our back yard – jumping over the fence to look for stray acorns. The critter cam has caught some images of their night time visits. There is one whose rack is getting quite large. He is probably the leader.

If you take out your gun you have some good food for X’mas, hehe
I can imagine that it’s annoying to have a garden where animals nibble. We only have rabbits and snails that nibble and eat in our garden. By the way, do you like rabbit legs?

We could never even contemplate harming an animal.

For some reason I always liked my hamburgers plain or maybe with pickles. When I was a kid I had an aunt & uncle who raised rabbits for food. I tried it and didn’t care for it but it’s probably not much different than raising chickens or any other animal to eat.

I once saw a dressed rabbit in a butcher’s case. I had to leave the store – in tears. Probably not a good choice for me.

Perfection. I can taste that avocado as we speak.

Mmm. . .that burger looks delish! ‘Tuther day, I whomped up hamburg patties with chopped garlic, grilled them, then buried them under sauteed onions & mushrooms. Beans on the side and we were cruising!

Definitely delish! Possible addition: roasted Hatch chiles! (Please leave the garlic out of mine!)
