Mushroom Burger

Freshly-made buns, fresh tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, Cheddar cheese, avocado, and a smear of Bleu cheese dressing complete this delicious burger.  After the portrait was made, I added catsup and relish.

The other burger on the table had a slice of bacon cut in half, and peperoncini added in place of the relish.

They seemed particularly delicious that day.

HINT:  When you are cooking bacon, fry up a couple of extra pieces for use later to make some other dish just that much extra special.

The whole thing looks so appetizing, but I think I would kill for just the bun!

My latest “trick” with the turmeric is to put it into bread dough, BUT – it turns it so very yellow. Soooooo, I added about the same amount of smoked paprika, and the finished bread is then a bit of a golden color instead of fluorescent yellow! I can’t say that I actually taste either spice in the bread, so I guess it is a keeper method.

Oh my, Judie. What a mouth-watering presentation. I can see your restaurant opening in Sierra Vista and it’s called, “From Scratch”.

Thanks, Chris! We hadn’t had a burger for a while, and CHEESEBURGER is IT for Gary! He has been on a ham and Swiss panini kick lately, though, so the burgers had taken a back seat.

Enticing as it sounds, I would NEVER want to run a restaurant !!! The paperwork alone would kill me !!!
