Dinner the Night Before a Colonoscopy

A special treat last night – New York strip steak with a twice-baked potato, roasted red/yellow/orange mini peppers, mushrooms, buttered asparagus with a good squeeze of lemon, and orange segments.

A light breakfast this morning – then all liquids the rest of the day.

Good news – procedure is scheduled for 6:30 tomorrow morning, so the rest of the day should be normal.

I guess if you have to have that test, you might as well eat well beforehand. Dinner looks great!

He’s at the end of the all-liquid day and suffering mightily from the effects of the magnesium citrate! Grateful that it will all be over before he actually gets really awake tomorrow morning!

Good! I just went through that, too, and was relieved that mine were clear, too. It’s worth the one day of drinking all that liquid, I think, to be able to carry on with no worries. That first good meal when it’s over sure tastes great. 🙂
