Quickie Quiche

Once upon a time, back in the late 90’s and early 00’s, there were several RV’ing chat lists . . . and I think I must have belonged to all of them. One of the frequent posters was Jim Foreman, … Continue reading

Strawberries and Fizz

About a month ago we were overrun with strawberries, so I cut up and froze up about six baskets of them with some date sugar.  When thawed, juice collects, but it is pretty thick.  Enter fizzy water … mixed with … Continue reading

Faces

At the cancer clinic today, I noticed the display of ladies’ wigs and decided to try out the FACES feature of my iPhone.  It did an admirable job, tossing tiny little squares all over the place, and they all landed … Continue reading

Homemade Rice-A-Roni with Steamed Cabbage and Heavy Veggie Sauce

The End of the Rana

This was far more delicious than it appears, and it is the last seven little tortellinis from a package of refrigerated prepared pastas. Yeah, I know – not something I usually get. But it had a special magic aura about … Continue reading

The Second Soup

The second round looked like this. The addition this time was some leftover broccoli – probably an amount equal to one vegetable serving for one of us. Mind you, we eat LARGE servings of vegetables as sides, so this … Continue reading

The First Soup

I finally got to cutting up the ham into meal-sized chunks and getting them into the freezer. This left the bone ready to boil, so I stuck it into the Crock-Pot and let it simmer until this afternoon at lunch … Continue reading
