Because that’s when The Velvet Elvis is closed.
I was re-strolling the streets of Patagonia a couple of days ago by scrolling through the photos that were taken on an excursion there about three years ago. While waiting for the Golden Hour to show up, we met some friends for pizza, and then wandered up and down the neighborhood streets together, chatting and searching out interesting scenes.
And there were plenty! I’ve posted at least two previously – both of which encompassed the theme “Yellow”.
Apart from enchanting yard interests, there are myriad unique doors, and other camera-enticing scenes. For a tiny, tiny town, there was much to enjoy.
Twenty plus years ago, we were in this area (before we lived here) and spent some time near Patagonia on some BLM land that is now known as La Cienega. Not sure it had a designated name back then. At the time, one of the places that we were advised to check out was The Ovens of Patagonia, which somehow we managed not to do. I see by TripAdvisor that they are still there, so we must rectify the overlooked visit.
As soon as it cools off, a return trip is mandatory.
What a funny name and statue, dear Judie. Have a nice day, virtual hugs Mitza

For some reason, there was a fad here some years ago of painting portraits of Elvis Presley on velvet cloth. Happily, it came and went, but the combination of the two words seems to have stayed popular.
