The Arizona Trail
We had heard of it, but hadn’t really paid a lot of attention to it. A couple of nights ago, our local PBS station played a short feature about it, and we were hooked.
There are supposed to be places where one can drive up and hop on the trail and walk as far as desired. We think we might be able to do a few steps here and there, so are going to track down information about this possibility.
If anyone reading this has any information at all about The Arizona Trail, please leave it in the comments section. We will treasure every word.
Many thanks. ;->
Too bad it doesn’t go to Missouri. We could meet you half way!🤪

We are hoping to find a drive-up spot and then shuffle down the path a ways just to get the feel of it. Hiking is out of our reach now, but we did enjoy it back when! ;->

Even if you just go a short way, what an adventure. I hope you post about it if you go.

We wouldn’t be hiking the trail – just driving up to it, and walking a little ways,in/out wherever there are such “trailheads for folks who don’t walk all that well”!

Waiting to hear about your experience if you do make it there!

We intend to seek out a place along the trail where we can drive up to it, and then meander a ways without any commitment! ;->

I started hiking it a couple of years ago, but got injured on it, so I couldn’t finish, but yes, there are quite a few places you can catch the trail along a road. When I was doing it, my husband was going to meet me in numerous places to resupply me and say hi. Are you planning on getting on the trail down south, or are you further north? If there’s anything I can tell you that might help, I’m happy to do so! When are you planning on doing it? I started it during winter months when it was cooler, although there was snow in a few areas too.

Neither of us is capable to do any hiking any more! More’s the pity, but that’s life. We are hoping to drive to a point where we can just hop out and walk a minimum bit just to see what it is like.
We live fairly close to the southern terminus, but I don’t think there are any drive-up entrances any where near us.
Would love to have the benefit of anything you can tell us. We are curious about it, even if walking it is no longer an option.
