Post-Op Feast

Not the first meal I made after coming home, but probably the most colorful!  After hospital food for even just three meals, it was so good to be able to eat delicious food again.  The quality of the food at the hospital has gone downhill rapidly.  Several years ago, it was actually good.  Now?  Not so much.  They have a nice fresh fruit cup and yogurt, and their omelettes are still good, but . . .

This operation stuff is a drag!  I’m sure it will be better in the long run, but I’m two weeks post-op now, and still having a lot of difficulty.  But I can scurry up and down the counters in the kitchen, and wheel my walker into the utility room to the freezer, so meals are pretty much the same as before.

Two-week check up coming along soon, and I’m determined to make a run at the grocery store while I am out going to the medical center.

NOLA Boy took our Pleasure-Way motorhome out for an exercise run last evening right at sunset.  He came back breathless with excitement over the sunset and full moon juxtaposition as it had appeared in the rear view mirror for him.  To say nothing of his having seen several pairs of his beloved hawks, who swooped around in the sky for his viewing pleasure.

Can’t wait to get more mobile so we can both get out.
