He weighs just 100# now and still has eight (out of 30) radiation sessions to go. The daily five-hour trip is a real killer. But he’s still in good spirits, and I see signs of his sense of humor emerging from time to time!
Don’t want to bug you when you probably have your hands full, but we don’t like the sound of a “feeding tube.” Are you still crossing your fingers, or is getting a little late for that?
As long as he has half his wits about him (which is more than most of us have when we have all our wits about us), we hope he can keep on keeping on…and with your good, nutritious food he surely has more than half a chance.
See today’s blog post for an update on this. They had a mechanical breakdown of the machine today, so we got a “day off”. I am seeing that he eats something every couple of hours since we won’t be in the car for five hours today.
Hopefully three days of solid sleep and food will go a long way to getting him through this last week.
Looking pretty bright-eyed! Give him our love and best wished…and you too. ❤️❤️

It definitely is the hardest job I’ve ever had! But he still smiles at me, and for that, it is worth all the effort!

This harsh radiation has destroyed his taste buds, and torn up the inside of his mouth and throat. Every thing must be liquid.
He is suffering mightily with these.
