Do you see what I see?
A tasty morsel awaits.
I’ll just fly over and get him.
After my nap.
Magnanimously, I’ll let him live because he’s so cute and furry.

Great ones, Judie. Same variety of hawk used to visit my backyard when I was more diligent in feeding the finches, sparrows, and assortment of other kinds. I haven’t been keeping it up so well lately — just the hummers that are now gone for the winter.

Did the hawks dine on the smaller birds?

They’re part of the hawks diet. He didn’t always get one though.

You betcha’! I’m really lucky to be in such a great place for wildlife photography. But sometimes it is frustrating because I swear those rascally roadrunners know I am stalking them! They make their buzzy chirpy noise until I come outside, and then they run behind the bushes and laugh!

That hawk has quite an intimidating gaze. I’d hate to be a mouse in his yard 😀

He was after “Big Game” – our yard Rock Squirrel! My presence defused the situation eventually!
