The Cows and the Cowboys

Cows and Cowboys

The roundup was s-l-o-w; nobody was in a hurry – least of all the cows! It is pretty exciting to see this a few steps from our back yard. There’s not much between us and those beautiful mountains you see in the background. They are The Huachucas Mountains.

Click on the picture for a better view. I thought the panorama was worth sacrificing a close up view. That’s my view out the kitchen window when I am using my computer, cooking, or doing the washing up! What a lucky girl I am! ;->

I have not yet been able to figure out where the “homebase” is for the cows. It must be down a dirt road somewhere that I never go. I tried Googling for “where do these cows go when it rains”, but was unsuccessful! It thundered and lightninged about an hour ago, and they were still here, with a tiny baby, munching on the mesquite trees.
